With favourably dry conditions, round 3 kicked off on Wednesday night with racers keen to make their mark and solidify positions on the league ladder. Elevensies scored the biggest winning margin of the night with 40 points over Team Ivan on 15 points. Second Timers secured a win over Driving Miss Daisy with an 11 point lead while Team Elite showed true grit with an 11 point win over Trinity Racing.
RACE 1: TEAM IVAN DEFEATED BY ELEVENSIES
With late showers setting in, racers were met with horrendous conditions but nothing but fun was had. Cory Bridge from the Elevensies held it together to stay on the track and take a win for the night.
Great sportsmanship was displayed by both teams on the night with no nasty collisions taking place.
RACE 2: TEAM ELITE DEFEATED TRINITY RACING
Casey Mold from Team Elite came out with all cylinders firing, taking out the qualifying and race double.
After dropping two wheels off the track, Liuey Tai-Fay from Team Elite sprayed the corner with water. This left all the other races with a little challenge to keep their karts straight when hitting the unsuspecting puddle.
RACE 3: SECOND TIMERS DEFEATED DRIVING MISS DAISY
Viv Dilkes-frayne from Second Timers was in hot form with the fastest lap of the night 38.722sec, Viv also took out top honours by winning the race. Nathan Pannunzio (Second Timers) was unlucky to drop from 2nd place to last due to a canvas tyre.
Nathan has showed great pace and will be dangerous come finals. Adrian De Fazio (Second Timers) drove a solid race, Qualifying 6th to finish 3rd. Well done!
