Get your team’s hearts racing with a day of go-karting

Ace Karts on 31 July 2019

A well-planned team-building activity can be a transformative experience, inspiring people to step outside of their comfort zones and bond by laughing, learning and overcoming challenges together.

Get your team’s hearts racing with a day of fast fun and excitement they’ll be talking about for weeks with Melbourne's premier private racing experience, Ace Karts.

Our racetrack is 700m of pure excitement just 15km from the Melbourne CBD. It's suitable for both novice and expert drivers, and we have over 20 years’ experience in arranging corporate team-building events and promotions.

Conveniently located just off the Western Ring Road in Albion, our facilities include a conference room and an outdoor entertaining area, ideal for presentations and get-togethers before and after racing.

There’s no need to race to the bank: our corporate racing packages range from $80pp to $99pp, with no additional fees or hidden costs.

On track for fun

go karting track

Ace Karts’ circuit is Australia’s longest and widest go-karting racetrack. This allows our super-karts to reach speeds of up to 75km/h while at the same time providing a safe and appropriate challenge for first-time drivers (see our top tips for karting novices).

A series of seven intensifying bends tests your cornering skills, and a 105m straight lets you push your kart to its full potential (see our experts’ advice on how to corner fast in a kart).

Our automated electronic timing system records every driver’s performance. Lap times are posted on a leader board in the lobby for bragging rights after each race and we'll email them to you afterwards too.

Experienced race directors will oversee your event from start to finish. They'll answer any questions you may have and generally ensure your day runs smoothly from start to finish line.

Safety first

Safety is our absolute priority, and we're committed to ensuring every driver has a great time and gets home safely. No racetrack in Australia has more built-in safety features than ours, and that's over and above our industry-leading karts, safety gear and expert staff.

Every kart undergoes a rigorous safety checklist before and after every race, all performed by a specialist kart mechanic. We won't start your race until we've checked every kart on the grid.

Rookie drivers who may not want to tackle the track at high speeds straight away can negotiate the course in their own time using a clearly marked safety lane, staying safely away from passing traffic. And because our course is eight lanes wide, there’s plenty of room for safe overtaking.

Our super-karts

Built in France to the same safety standards required of French automobile manufacturers, our super-karts also meet all Australian karting safety requirements.

Powered by Honda engines, they are perfectly suited to our outdoor circuit. With a high power-to-weight ratio, responsive power steering and hydraulic brakes their performance is unsurpassed in any weather, they are capable of reaching 75km/h with no loss of handling even in wet conditions.

To put it simply, no other race karts in Australia offer thrills like ours.

Meals and refreshments

At Ace Karts you’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks (by prior arrangement), or you can leave all your meals and refreshments to our reliable catering partner Select One, who have hosted our exclusive corporate events, parties and charity functions for years.

Sourced daily from the highest-quality ingredients, their food arrives fresh from the Select One kitchen. Their menu options include gourmet cold platters, barbecues packages and spit roasts, all of which come with a healthy spread of vegetarian options too. So after a hard day's racing, nobody goes home hungry.

We don’t carry a liquor licence, and you are welcome to consume BYO alcohol at the venue after your race.

NB: Please drink responsibly, and please note that when it comes to racing, Ace Karts operates a strict 0.00% blood alcohol content policy.
