• How fast are your go-karts?

  We have three different types of kart, all of which differ in power and speed. Our Rookie Karts reach a top speed of 40km/h. The 2Seater Karts will reach speeds of up to 55km/h and our Super Karts top an impressive 75km/h.

• Can I book over the phone?

  Of course! However, you can also book online quickly, easily and securely. This is the simplest way to ensure you instantly secure the time slot you want.

  Alternatively, you can book by completing a reservation form that we can email to you upon request. Reservations can also be made in person at the venue.

• Do I need to pay a deposit to book?

  For exclusive races, we require a 50% upfront deposit (based on the minimum number of drivers required). You can then pay the remaining amount on the day before your event.

  For Arrive and Drive sessions, we require full payment for all drivers at time of booking.

• What is the minimum number of people required to get exclusive use of the track?

  We require payment for at least 15 people. However, if you have fewer (e.g. five drivers ), you're welcome to split the difference between the drivers.

• Do you have a height and age restriction?

  Super Kart - ages 12+ and 145cm+ tall

  Rookie Kart - ages 6 to 11 and 125cm+ tall

  2Seater Kart - ages 4-6 (passenger) and 18+ (driver)

• What are your trading hours?

  Monday from 9.00am – 5.00pm.

  Thursday – Sunday from 9.00am – 10.00pm.

  Earlier or later reservations can be made by special arrangement.

• What happens if it rains?

  The race goes ahead! Our karts are designed to handle our outdoor track perfectly in any weather. Just bring a change of clothing!

  We also have Ace Karts wet weather gear available for purchase.

• What if I need to cancel?

  CANCELLATION CUT-OFFS.

  Arrive and Drive - Seventy-two (72) hours prior to the race time.

  Exclusive Races - Seven (7) days prior to your race date.

  All cancellation requests must be made in writing by the above cut-offs. You will receive a refund, less a 10% administration fee. Alternatively, you can postpone your session to a later date without incurring administration fees.

  If you fail to notify us by the above cut-offs, no refund will be provided.

• What if not all of the drivers turn up?

  We cannot offer a refund if one or more of your drivers do(es) not show up for your Exclusive Race.

• What if I arrive late?

  Drivers are required to arrive forty-five (45) minutes prior to reservation time. Failure to arrive on time may result in cancellation without refund.

• How do I see my lap times?

  We'll email them to you. You'll also be able to see them in the lobby after your race.

• Are there any hidden fees?

  There are no additional fees or costs involved. However, you are welcome to purchase extras such as wet weather gear, merchandise, drinks and confectionery.

• Where is Ace Karts located?

  We are located 20 minutes west of the CBD at 20 Carrington Drive Albion, Vic, 3021.

• Do you have packages for birthdays/kids' parties?

• Do you need a licence to drive a go-kart?

  No driver's licence required but bring photo ID.

• What is your policy on alcohol?

  Ace Karts operates a strict 0.00% BAC policy. We reserve the right to breath-test anyone we believe to be under the influence of alcohol. We also reserve the right to refuse entry without refund to anyone suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  While we do not carry a liquor licence, you are welcome to consume BYO alcohol at the venue after your race (please drink responsibly).

• Are there any clothing restrictions?

  All participants must wear enclosed footwear - no sandals or thongs. Dresses and skirts are discouraged as well. No loose clothing. Long hair must be tied up and must be tucked into your race balaclava or race suit. Other than that, wear whatever's comfortable. T-shirts and shorts are fine.

• Can I bring my own go-kart to your track?

  No. We only allow drivers to drive our karts.

• I am under 18. Do I need a parent or guardian to be present?

  Yes, a parent or guardian must be present (18+) to sign you in.

• You are welcome to change your booking if you do so before our cancellation times:

  Arrive and Drive - Forty-eight (48) hours prior to the race time.

  Exclusive Races - Seven (7) days prior to your race date.

  You can postpone your session to a later date without incurring administration fees. If you need to add members of your party, give us a call and let us know. We cannot offer a refund if one or more of your drivers does not show up for your Exclusive Race.

• We highly recommend booking in advance to secure your spot. That way, you will not be disappointed. Every day at the track is busy, with many people jostling for the inside lane to the finish line. Don't get left behind — book an Arrive and Drive session for when you want to race.
