Established in 2009, the League Cup pits teams of five drivers against each other in each round. The winning team, the one that accumulates the most points from the 10 available positions, is rewarded with the points for the round over its rivals. Each team races each other once before the finals series begins.
After a successful stint with the concept of Monday Night Racing rewarding individual drivers once a month, the Ace Karts team has successfully become the first go-kart track in Australia to adopt a European-like team event. With the main prize on offer a team one, the Individual Drivers Championship gives drivers from each team, even those not driving in the finals, something to race for.
In and amongst the excitement, teams from the competition are awarded discounted practice runs during each season. But interest is brewing and the competition is getting bigger, making the season’s longer.
